This is Matt with your Mountain Surf Report for Sunday, May 12, 2024. Happy Mother's Day! It'll be another beautiful day here at The Bird, with sunny skies and good vibes. It's a good time to practice your sun-chasing skills to try and time all the skiing for the best possible conditions. My recommendation would be to start in Mineral, then head to the Little Cloud area and finally slip into Peruvian. But the best way to find out is to go out and try it for yourself. Looking for a last-minute Mother's Day activity? Well, look no further, our Mother's Day brunch still has some open spots. The menu looks amazing and if my mom lived around here, I would absolutely be taking her to it!

Solitude Mountain Resort:
What a fantastic season! We received 574 inches of snow, enjoyed countless powder laps, and had our lifts spinning for 181 days. Come enjoy our Closing Day Retro Party happening bell-to-bell on the mountain today. Put on your gaudiest gear and crush the slush under sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-50s. Start your day with free donuts in the Moonbeam base area, then join us end-of-day for a Last Run from the top of Powderhorn. We are finishing the season strong with Link, Moonbeam, Apex, Powderhorn, and Eagle spinning, servicing 39 trails and our Main Street terrain park. Today is also Mother’s Day and we’ll be giving out free flowers and chocolate to celebrate. See our events calendar for complete details on everything happening on the mountain today. Thank you for skiing and riding Solitude this fall, winter, and spring! Join us this summer for mountain biking, disc golf, hiking, live music, events, dining, and other fun. Summer season kicks off June 16.
